The Gary Walker Memorial Scholarship
The Gary Walker Memorial Scholarship, funded by The Foundation of the IADC, provides tuition and room and board reimbursement to a deserving IADC Trial Academy attendee. The scholarship is named for Gary T. Walker, a trial lawyer with more than 30 years experience in a broad range of litigation and a long-time IADC member who died shortly before he was to serve as Trial Academy Director in 2001. Lawyers wishing to apply for the scholarship must have between two and 10 years of practical trial experience. The Gary Walker Fund is primarily intended to provide assistance to minority and women students as well as those demonstrating financial need.

The George J. Lavin, Jr. Scholarship
The George J. Lavin, Jr. Scholarship, funded by the law firm of Lavin, O’Neil, Ricci, Cedrone & DiSipio, honors the firm’s founder, George J. Lavin, Jr. Mr. Lavin served as the Director of the 2001 Trial Academy and as a faculty member of the 1999 Trial Academy. He is an accomplished trial lawyer and the scholarship celebrates his commitment to mentoring aspiring trial lawyers. The scholarship provides tuition and room and board reimbursement as well as a $250 expense stipend. The scholarship is intended to provide assistance to a candidate employed by a non-profit corporation, non-profit organization or public sector entity.
